May 2013 - Ride'em Cowboys! There's rodeos and fests a-plenty this month! From Giddings to Lexington to Mineral Wells. Ropin', Riding, Bulls and Bustin' Mutton. But that's not all that goes on. You'll find Dewberries in Cameron, Polka in Ennis and Films in Smithville.
April 2013 - The backroads are covered with blue as our bluebonnets herald the coming of Spring! So let's take a trip with rural reporter Casper as he visits Ennis, the Bluebonnet City, then take in the Bluebonnet Festival in Chappell Hill. Also learn more about the history & neat things to see in Jefferson TX. January 2013 - It's cold but there's plenty to do indoors! Start by reading about Casper's travels through Angleton, Clute and Brazoria County. December 2012 - Christmas truly is the season of lights. There's so many bright activities that you may just need your sunglasses all month. Read about Christmas fun in Rockport-Fulton, Angleton, Christmas on the Chisholm Trail in Belton and a special Czechmas in West.
November 2012 - Casper is exploring again - in West, Texas! Read about Belton's warm & wonderful Christmas activities. Also some great stuff in Blanco, Sealy, Brenham and Schulenburg.
October 2012 - The Smithville Texas Photo Festival is such a great event, everyone was a photographer and everyone a model as the cameras flashed. You don't want to miss it! Another bit of craziness will be Elgin's Hogeye Festival with music, food, arts & crafts and most certainly the Royal Hog Coronation and a performance by the Elgin Sowpremes. It's a great day to be in Texas.
September 2012 - This month features Gonzales and the "Come and Take It" Festival, certainly a historical event. Also read about the festival for Texas authors in Giddings and the Oldest County Fair in Texas.
August 2012 - August is a new month, a new Backroads format and new Partners to welcome! We hope you enjoy them all. Also you will find some great info on Lavender & Wine, Historic learning and a Tailgate Party. Whoohoo!
July 2012 - In this issue you'll learn how Clute has taken a pesky little bug and turned it into an occasion for fun and celebration. Our rural reporter, Casper, has been on the backroads again. This time his adventures have taken him through Schulenburg and Flatonia to see the breath-taking painted churches and more. Other stories: Brenham, Chappell Hill, Rockport.
June 2012 - Featured this month is Belton, voted by USA Today as "One of the Nation's Top 10 Places to Fly your Flag on the 4th". Read about all the great venues and events they have going on to find out why! Other stories include: Iraan, Round Top, Brenham, Terrell, Giddings and Rockport-Fulton.
May 2012 - Features this month are on Bridgeport, "The Stagecoach Capital of Texas" as our rural reporter, Casper goes on a new adventure.
