The Center's mission is two-fold: to provide quality tourism information that showcases the character, history and culture of rural Texas and to provide rural Texas communities with a venue for low cost promotion of their community as a tourist destination.

The Rural Texas Tourism Center has several opportunities available to communities, events and businesses. Community Partnerships are exclusive to rural communities*  although packages are available for businesses, community events, and tourism organizations.

*Rural Communities are defined as those which are 20K or less in population that do not share a boundary with an urban area.
